A dutch barn in Weeford, Lichfield has been resurrected from its original form as a flower storage unit. Whilst not listed, it is within the curtilage of a listed building and consideration has been given to retaining as much of the original form as possible.
Not without its problems, metal cladding is an issue with insurance companies following the appalling situation with Grenfell. This barn, now in for planning, may receive alternative cladding treatment because of the issues that face any metal cladding proposals.
Regardless of the finish, the Dutch barn is being given a new life and one which will create an open plan, light filled dwelling.
