LISTED BUILDINGS & CONSERVATION

A building is listed when it is of special architectural or historic interest. Any buildings within the curtilage of a listed building are also dealt with under the same planning & listed building guidelines. We can provide exciting and responsive proposals to a listed building whilst maintaining and enhancing the historical features that the building is listed for.

NEW BUILD DWELLINGS

New build dwellings are the ideal solution for most people looking to dream home, however land shortages and complexities with planning legislation can make this costly and too onerous to attempt. We have developed plots which are either greenfield or brownfield, but in all cases achieved a solution which is balanced in the environment and works in the street scene. As the practice founder, I also understand the issues involved having built my own home. The joy of achieving this is worth the journey.

EXTENSIONS

Extensions are more cost effective than moving home. Plus opportunities for open plan living, garage conversion, utilising an outbuilding etc. all provide a better use of the home space. The way we live has changed and functions of the home have changed with it, so much so that layouts do not always suit a growing or extended family. You may not see the opportunities in your property, but we can advise on creating better spaces in which to live and work.

BARN CONVERSIONS

Barn conversions are becoming more commonplace following relaxations in planning guidance, however they can be complex and tend to follow strict criteria. It is worth noting the Government's policy is to encourage development of dwellings and that barn conversions are a viable and sustainable option, so likely to be supported at planning stage.
