The cart hovel was a disused barn adjoining a Grade II listed dwelling. It has for years stored garden and agricultural paraphernalia but the time came to convert it into habitable accommodation. Brickwork and timber were retained obviously and it provides a visual link to the original use. However beautiful the barn was originally it has been enhanced so that it combines both a bright and warm internal open plan space but retains its character from centuries before. Works were carried out during the Covid years…and the efforts of both the workforce and clients who project managed are clear to see.
