There isn’t much like clever scaffolding to catch the eye – especially in a small village. But the results will be bright and bold; A new thatch to the scheme we got approval for 2 years ago. It has taken that long to secure a place with the wonderful artisan thatcher Dave Wood, as well as the joinery skills of Bowbells joinery. The timber framed Grade II listed would have been thatch originally. And we’re converting it back to the original thatch. The benefits of a thatched roof..? Incredible Insulation properties, no guttering and a striking form. To follow will be the frameless glass extension to the rear… Excited to see this project progress.
